May 30th, 2018 - The NESSIE project consortium has presented in Genoa the Roadmap for anti-corrosion solutions in the Offshore Renewable sector
On 29th May, within the framework of the second international NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineers) conference organised in Genoa, the NESSIE consortium presented the report on the Roadmap towards the development of high-value manufacturing opportunities for anti-corrosion solutions applied in the Offshore Renewable Energy sector.
The identified challenges and priorities on which to focus on, were discussed in a workshop with industry and researchers, who validated them. The Roadmap is aimed to support the identification of the demonstration projects within NeSSIE.
In fact, in Genova, it was also announced by the NeSSIE consortium the forthcoming launch of the first phase of the tender to implement demonstration projects in the North Sea. The tender is divided into two phases. The first is aimed at the selection of promoters and developers interested in participating in the initiative and the exhibition of the demonstrator projects. The second phase, planned for the end of September, will focus on the proposal of innovative solutions by the value chain.
The call will be officially opened on Wednesday 6th June, whereby all of the information is available for interested parties on our project website (http://www.nessieproject.com/).
The Genova event, was preceded by the project Steering Meeting #5, held the previous day in Milano, where the partners made decisions and fine-tuned the busy project scheduled for the next months.
